PhD defense: Maria Eduarda Ruchiga Assis de Almeida on April 9th 2025

On April 9th 2025, Maria Eduarda Ruchiga Assis de Almeida successfully defended her PhD thesis in data science at Université Gustave Eiffel on modelling and stochastic simulation of the risk reduction capabilities of autonomous vehicles. Her work was co-supported by Cerema and Université Gustave Eiffel, and co-supervised by Dominique Gruyer, Guillaume Saint Pierre, and Rémi Sainct.

The defense will start at 9am in the amphitheater of the Bienvenüe building, on the campus of Marne-la-Vallée. Other than the supervisers, the jury will gather Pr. Johan OLSTAM (associated professor at the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute, reviewer), Pr. Stéphane GALLAND (professor at Université de Technologie de Belfort Montbéliard, reviewer), Pr. Samia BOUCHAFABRUNEAU (professor at Université Paris-Saclay, examiner), Pr Véronique CHERFAOUI (professor at Université de Technologie de Compiègne, examiner) and Dr. Olivier ORFILA (scientific director of ITE VEDECOM, examiner).
