Scientific facilities
The PICS-L develops and implements 4 types of scientific equipment which are both research tools and research objects:
- immersive simulators in Marne-la-Vallée and Versailles (for drivers, cyclists, pedestians);
- instrumented vehicles in Versailles (automated and connected);
- photometric and psychometric measurement systems in Marne-la-Vallée;
- camera-based systems of on-site observatories.
The PICS-L is deploying a new facility based on two complementary systems: a robotized electric car (Impact3D-AV) to collect data on closed tracks, and a driving simulator with a car cabin on a 6-DOF motion platform (Impact3D-VR&Motion) to collect data in simulated environments.
