PhD defense: Lama Ayad, October 10th, 2025

On October 10, 2025, Lama Ayad successfully defended her PhD in automatics at Université Gustave Eiffel (PhD school MSTIC), on cyclist safety assessment: risk and behavioral analysis across various infrastructure types and road user interactions. Her research was supported by the European program Clear-DOC, and was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Hocine Imine as well as Pr. Claudio Lantieri and Pr. Francesca De Crescenzio of the University of Bologna (in the framework of the international associated lab NextRIM). The jury was composed of : Pr. Said Mammar (Univ. d'Evry Paris-Saclay, reviewer), Pr. Giandomenico Caruso (Univ. of Milan, reviewer), Pr. Olivier Sename (Univ. of Grenoble Rhône-Alpes, examiner), Pr. Patricia Delhomme (Univ.
