PhD defense: Alexandre Jacquemart, September 18th, 2025
On September 18th, 2025, Alexandre Jacquemart successfully defended his PhD thesis in signal processing of Université Paris Saclay (PhD school STIC) on adaptive and generic perception for scanning and understanding the road environment in adverse conditions, with application to generic detection of meteorological conditions. His work was conducted in the framework of a CIFRE contract with ESI-Group, directed by Dominique Gruyer, and co-supervised by Mokrane Hadj-Bachir (ESI-Group) and Sio-Song Ieng.
The defense took place at Université Gustave Eiffel on the campus of Marne-la-Vallée. Other than the director and supervisors, the jury was composed of Pr. Samia Ainouz (professor at INSA Rouen Normandie, LITIS laboratory, reviewer), Pr. Philippe Xu (associate professor at ENSTA Paris, reviewer), Pr. Samia Bouchafa-Bruneau (professor at Université Paris-Saclay, examiner), Pr. Michel Basset (professor at Université de Haute Alsace, ENSISA-IRIMAS, examiner) and Pr. Abelaziz BENSRHAIR (professor at INSA Rouen Normandie, LITIS, invited).
